The Epistle
The DOWRY paperback arrival, 8tracks, and everything else I've been loving lately.

I’ve got some exciting (secret!) book news coming to you first thing in the new year, so keep your eyes peeled for more goodness in your inbox!
Everything I’ve Been Loving Lately
It’s been a cozy, snowy Christmas season over here in Boston, and I hope that everyone has been enjoying their holidays as safely as possible! I’ve been doing a lot of daydreaming and book drafting, and one (relatively) old school music-sharing website has been my constant companion through it all.
8tracks
This has been my favorite place to find atmospheric mixes and post my writing playlists for my own books for years and years. It went defunct for a little while but it’s back now! I love that you can search really niche terms like “dark academia”, “royaltycore”, or “yule” and get the perfect vibes for whatever you may be writing or creating. Check it out and play around with the tags and see what you find! I’ll link one of my all time favorite atmospheric gothic mixes here
A Summery Spooky New WIP
I finished the zero draft of my LA conwoman book a few days ago, which means I have the green light to jump into my newest project, a sultry solstice folk gothic about mysterious happenings at an artists’ commune. It’s inspired by dark academia literature, folk horror classics like The Wicker Man, and the manic height of summer.
I’ve had so much fun reading nonfiction books about intentional communities in American history and re-watching a documentary about my favorite intentional community, Braziers Park. Writing a book in a handcrafted society set in the middle of summer is transporting me away from the grey streets of winter in Boston, and I’m so excited to share the finished product with you all when it’s done! My agent hopes to have the book on submission by next summer, so I’ve got plenty to keep me busy getting it ready to go out.
That’s all I have for you this time, devotees of The Epistle, but I hope you are welcoming back the light into the darkness of winter the best way you know how, eating good food, and keeping warm and cozy. Until we two meet again, be safe and well.
