A Cover Reveal Is Coming…
Rejoice, Summoner’s Circle fans! Next year is Rhys’ year, and we’re almost ready to reveal the cover for ASCENSION, book two in the series. The cover is moody, dramatic, a little sexy, and a little austere, just like everyone’s favorite anxious Catholic bisexual sorcerer. However, until the final cover is live, feast your eyes on the arc cover and advance blurb.
From international bestselling author of Evocation comes it's hotly anticipated and spellbinding sequel, where Rhys steps into his new role as High Priest. A magical read for lovers of traditional urban fantasy.
Now the High Priest of Boston's famed and secret Society, Rhys McGowan has a lot on his shoulders. With the help of his adoring witch wife, Moira, and his newly rekindled relationship with psychic boyfriend, David, Rhys is destined to become the most powerful High Priest ever.
However, Rhys's insatiable ambition may be his undoing...
The second book in the bestselling Summoner's Circle series sees beloved characters return for an all new dark and enthralling adventure.
Events
New England babes, I’ve got a double feature event coming up this weekend! Gothic thriller author Kit Mayquist and I will be chatting and signing books together at the Smithfield, RI Barnes and Noble from noon to 2pm this Saturday November the 9th. We’re excited to see you out there, and to have a gothic good time!
Also, if you haven’t read Kit’s book TRIPPING ARCADIA yet, you’re seriously missing out! It’s a post-dark academia eat-the-rich thriller full of lavish parties in Berkshires mansions and ferociously vengeful women and twisty family drama. Grab a copy at the event, or beforehand as a little early winter treat!
Everything I’ve Been Loving Lately
It’s been such a full month already, and it’s only the fifth! I had a wonderful time handing out candy to kids on Halloween, then threw an autumnal party for my 30th birthday and spent most of Halloweekend thrifting and wine tasting and laughing with friends in historic haunted taverns.
I’ve also been watching some excellent video essays this week, including Why Nothing You Buy Feels Good Anymore by The Financial Diet, Sisi Was A Terrible Empress And Her Romanticization Needs To Stop by Ivodora, and The Digital Deluge: Chaos, Myth, and Technological Endgame by Depth Diaries. Go forth and enjoy!
A Petition
In case you haven’t noticed, it’s November 5th, which means that it’s election day in the United States of America. While every race is historic, this presidential election does indeed have extremely high stakes for those living in the USA, especially the working class, school-aged children, anyone who can get pregnant, immigrant families, and historically marginalized groups. It’s imperative that you vote if you’re able, specifically so that we as a country can continue to push our elected representatives towards domestic policies that will improve national equity, bodily safety, and economic opportunity, as well as towards foreign policies that will divest from war profiteering, as a start at least. I implore you, please exercise your right and vote!
That’s all I have for you this week, dear reader. Keep your eyes peeled for more coming from me soon!
