Welcome, dear reader! Slip off your shoes, and run across the dew-slick grass towards the flickering faery lights in the distance. I’ve got an exciting run-down for you today!

EVOCATION Reviewed In Publisher’s Weekly
I always face the prospect of having my work reviewed in trade publications with a mixture of excitement and anxiety, but I’m so happy to share this PW review of EVOCATION with you! I say this without a trace of irony: having my work recognized as audacious, uncommon, and campy means the world to me.
Erotic Romantasy Updates
I’m deep into revising my 2025 book, a gothic, erotic fever dream of a faerytale dripping with kink and angst and ancient magic. And lucky you, the title will be revealed in a couple of weeks along with something seriously gorgeous to look at! Keep those eyes peeled for the announcement in your inbox, and for now, enjoy this very doomed-by-the-narrative snippet.
Biblical Flash Fiction
Everyone once in a while I log onto Tumblr and open my ask box to take writing prompts based on Biblical stories, fairy tales, historical figures, and more. I recently wrote a flash fiction piece about Noah’s wife that I would love to share with you all. Follow the link below to read, and drop a prompt in the ask box while you’re there if it strikes your fancy.
Events
Uk tour dates are here! Mark your calendars, international friends! There are also a few secret UK events that haven’t been announced yet, but they’ll be trickling out in the coming days. Most of the RSVP links aren’t live yet, but you can check your local bookseller host’s event page to see if you can grab an early ticket!
I cannot wait to be back on UK soil and to connect with my amazing readers in some of the most breathtaking cities in the world. A huge thanks to Angry Robot and Black Crow PR for organizing this EVOCATION celebration!
Everything I’ve Been Loving Lately
The sun doesn’t set until 7pm these days, the light is stronger, and there’s a mild, playful breeze in the air that is making me feel so alive and so grateful for spring. I’m getting out of doors at every opportunity, socializing more, and altogether feeling more free.
I’m heading out to see Dune Part Two in IMAX this weekend and am vibrating with excitement; I loved the first installment and have high hopes that Villeneuve will be able to stick the landing with this one! I’ve also been poking around on JSTOR marinating my brain in literary analysis of gothic fiction, which has been wonderful creative tinder for the wildfire that is my 2025 book.
That’s all I have for you this week, dear reader! Be safe and well until we two meet again.
